Purpose of the Function
The Construction Manager is responsible for all aspects of the construction of IKEA projects, from start to finish.
Purpose of the Job
The Construction Manager will provide technical and cost input to IKEA internal partners during the projects development/conceptual design phase. Other responsibilities include the permitting co-ordination, physical and cost aspects of the detailed design and construction phases of all projects.
Key assignments
Oversee and direct construction projects from initiation to completion. This includes design, tendering, supervision, hand-over and project closure
Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses as and when required
