Fishbeck is seeking a full-time Construction Inspector to join our Civil Field team. In this role, you’ll perform field observation and documentation for roadway and bridge projects with the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), as well as municipal utility projects. This position requires travel and outdoor work, offering an excellent opportunity to gain experience on diverse projects and grow your career in field inspection.
Prepare detailed Daily Work Reports (DWRs) documenting work status, pay item postings, materials, and jobsite conditions.
Complete calculations, sketches, and forms, including concrete placement reports, permits, removal item records, wage interviews, mobility reports, and drilled shaft inspection reports.
Verify construction compliance with contract requirements and communicate non-compliance issues to senior staff.
