**Job Title**: Buyer/Purchaser**Job Summary**: The Buyer/Purchaser will be responsible for preparing purchase orders for the procurement of materials by compiling and recording necessary information.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:- Verify the nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
- Check warehouse inventory to determine material availability.
- Consult catalogs and suppliers for prices and specifications.
- Prepare and send bid invitations to suppliers.
- Draft and send purchase orders for approval.
- Maintain records of purchases, prices, deliveries, and inventories.
- Calculate the total cost of purchased items.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding late deliveries.
- Verify supplier invoices with bids and purchase orders, and submit them for approval.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation, processing, and retention of reports and records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
