Complaint Investigator

Job Summary:
The Complaint Investigator reports directly to the University’s Institutional Equity Officer, Title VI and Title IX Coordinator. The Complaint Investigator will be responsible for the prompt, impartial and thorough investigation of allegations of protected-class based discrimination and harassment, and retaliation, in violation of the University’s Non-Discrimination, Harassment Prevention, Title IX, Title VI and other related anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies. With input from the Institutional Equity Officer, the Complaint Investigator will work independently at every stage of the investigatory process, from intake, to interviewing complainants, witnesses, and respondents, to collecting evidence, to making credibility assessments, and to preparing verbal and written investigation reports that detail the findings of fact and conclusions of whether the University’s policies have been violated.
