Job Summary
Patient partnership is a core value of UBC Health. The Community Engagement Coordinator in the Office of the Vice-President, Health is responsible for building capacity to advance UBC Health’s commitment to fully integrate patient and community expertise and lived experience across its collaborative health education, research, and system change activities. The Community Engagement Coordinator strengthens and supports UBC Health’s existing partnerships with the community, and builds and maintains new relationships. The Coordinator plans, co-develops, and implements processes for the recruitment, orientation, and support of patient and community members engaged in UBC Health activities. The Coordinator facilitates a cooperative process to create a collaborative network of individuals and organizations to partner with UBC Health in establishing a new team-based teaching clinic and centre for innovation in collaborative health education and team-based care.
