The Potato Growers of Alberta (PGA) is a non‑profit potato grower organization that aims to increase the success of the potato growing industry in Alberta. To accomplish this, the PGA works on three fronts: education and extension, promotion, and research. The PGA is the voice of the potato industry in Alberta. The Communications Specialist role offers a unique opportunity to ensure PGA maintains a positive brand image while fostering meaningful connections with members, partners, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Communications & Brand Management
• Social Media & Website Management including Content Development & Engagement
• Newsletter Creation & Other Written Correspondence for Member Group
• Collection & Distribution of News, Events, and Updates Relevant to Growers, Consumers, & Industry Partners
• Stakeholder & Media Relations
• Subscription/Application Management
