Position Summary
The Commis Chef is responsible for assisting the kitchen team in the preparation and production of food items while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and safety. This position supports daily kitchen operations and contributes to delivering consistent and professional culinary services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, cooking and presentation of food according to established recipes and standards
- Follow instructions from senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment and storage areas
- Reduce food wastage and practice cost control measures
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations
