Combat Designer – Mobile Action Shooter
Contract (initially 6 months with intent to extend)
Onsite in Helsinki
We are looking for an experienced Combat Designer to join a mobile, third-person action shooter in the extraction genre, where combat sits at the core of the player experience.
In this role, you will take ownership of combat design, from first principles through to launch-quality production. You will work closely with design, engineering, art, and tech to prototype and evolve a combat system that feels deep, readable, and distinctly mobile-first.
This is a hands-on role with real autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to make clear decisions, explain the reasoning behind them, and guide the team through experimentation, failure, and iteration toward excellence.
We are looking for someone who has built combat systems before, understands the trade-offs required on mobile, and thrives in a highly collaborative but non-consensus-driven environment.
