Cnc Setter/Operator

Masstemps Ltd are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a full-time CNC Setter/Operator to join a busy and expanding precision engineering company based in the Smethwick area.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Setting and operating CNC Sliding Head Lathes, primarily Citizen and Star machines, to manufacture high-precision components.
• Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of multiple CNC sliding head machines, maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Carrying out job changeovers, tool changes, and machine setups in line with production schedules.
• Monitoring machining operations and making offset adjustments where required to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Loading raw materials and conducting first-off inspections before commencing production runs.
• Inspecting finished components using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
