CNC Machinist (Setup/Programmer)

Mechanical Industries is seeking a talented and self-motivated CNC machinist on 1st shift capable of setup, programming, and operation of our array of CNC equipment and machinery, including both vertical mills and horizontal turning centers, including swiss machines. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Completely responsible for setups and programming for new and repeating jobs
• Successfully execute both new and recurring jobs with speed and consistency.
• Ability to inspect parts and record results
• Design and develop precise programs efficiently
• Interpret program formats and fixturing requirements, with the ability to arrange, mount, and secure workpieces both with and without fixtures
• Make necessary adjustments to the machine or console to ensure adherence to program specifications.
