CNC Machinist II

Job Description
The Machinist II position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components. This individual will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:
Under General Supervision:
 • Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
 • Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
 • Loads and deletes programs in the computer
 • Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
 • Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
 • Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
 • Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
 • Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
 • Maintains a neat and orderly work area
