**Job Description**
The CNC Swiss Lathe Machinist sets up and runs production jobs on CNC Swiss lathes within the precision department, ensuring tight tolerances and consistent quality on medium to high-volume runs. This role manages multiple machines in a cell environment, performs in-process inspections with precision measuring tools, and works independently after an initial training period to meet daily production and quality targets.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up CNC Swiss lathes and CNC mills independently, including tooling, offsets, and program selection, to prepare machines for production runs.
+ Run production parts on CNC Swiss lathes and CNC mills in the precision department, managing 2–3 machines at a time within a cell of 7 CNC lathes.
+ Maintain and hold tolerances to approximately +/- 0.0005 on the majority of parts produced.
