CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Summary:

Seeking CNC Lathe Machinist to make precision steel parts in our Houston manufacturing facility near Hobby Airport. Must be able to efficiently perform set ups, programming and operation of CNC horizontal lathes with both Fanuc and Mazatrol (conversational) controls. Must have experience with both 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks and proficiency with precision measuring devices for in process inspection.

Duties include:

• Study/proofread CAD drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
• Create and/or edit CNC programs to achieve dimensionally accurate fabrication, minimize production time and ensure safe machine operation
• Select/acquire all tooling needed before starting set up of each part
