Cloud Implementation Engineer

**Description**

SAIC is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to design, secure, and operate hybrid cloud infrastructure leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS in support of U.S. Space Force missions. This position is onsite at Kirtland AFB and directly supports mission-critical ground systems and operations.

Job Duties:

+ Design, build, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation, Kubernetes, and AWS hybrid cloud environments supporting Space Force operations.
+ Configure, secure, and troubleshoot vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
+ Containerize and deploy application workloads using Docker and modern CI/CD pipelines.
+ Conduct root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and reliability improvements across compute, storage, and network components.
+ Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture artifacts, and recurring platform performance reports.
