Clinical Intern - Registered - Obstetrics

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Clinical Intern functions as a partner to the Registered Nurse with the goal of providing quality patient care. In addition to patient care, the Clinical Intern transcribes physician orders and performs a variety of clerical tasks as needed. The Clinical Intern will also have the opportunity to attend instructor-led classes in topics that have been identified as essential for the new graduates, including professional competencies and quality measures that impact patients’ clinical outcomes and satisfaction. Using a combination of case studies and simulation, participants will be challenged to continue to develop critical thinking and clinical judgment skills and put that learning experience into practice with direct patient care guided by preceptors.
