Clinical Counselor

Position Summary

We seek an energetic, approachable, and experienced counselor who is passionate about working with college‑aged and non‑traditional students. The clinical counselor will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional and psychological well‑being of ASU students within a Step Care Model serving both on‑campus and online students who reside in the state of Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the daily operations of the ASU Counseling Center
• Conducting initial mental health assessments to determine the appropriate level of care
• Using clinical judgment to triage and assign students to the appropriate level of care within the Step Care Model
• Provision of culturally responsive mental health services
• Providing short‑term individual counseling and crisis intervention
• Offering group therapy sessions and support groups for specific concern populations
