Position Overview

The City of Kamloops is seeking an individual with excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills to join our maintenance management and GIS team as a permanent, full-time Civic Operations GIS Technologist. The Civic Operations GIS Technologist supports the development, maintenance, and analysis of geographic information systems to assist in planning, operations, and decision-making across Civic Operations. The role is responsible for producing accurate spatial data, maps, and reports; maintaining GIS databases; and providing technical support to internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity and effective use of GIS tools.

Qualifications

1. Completion of secondary school or its equivalent.
2. Completion of a two-year diploma in GIS.
3. Minimum two years’ previous experience in municipal GIS experience (ArcGIS).
