ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee each phase of the engineering projects so that the group meets company specifications and standards and complies with federal and state regulations

Determines and facilitates the goals of the group

Identifies and procures the resources needed in house, or with outside consulting firms to complete projects

Devises plans for each phase of the group’s projects

Recruits engineering and drafting staff

Mentors, supervises, and recruits drafting staff

Performs quality control checks, ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and reliability of the products

Evaluates costs within a specific time frame
