Chemical Process Supervisor

As a Chemical Process Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of the laboratory and its analysts—from target setting to target completion—and working together with the Chemical Services Superintendent in managing the entire Chemical Section of the Operating department.

Responsibilities

• Develop collaborative targets specific to the laboratory, align individual performance with set targets, create development plans, review work performance, and strategically delegate tasks.
• Review QA/QC criteria for laboratory equipment (covering accuracy and precision), create or review chemistry procedures, generate technical reports, and evaluate nonconformities in water, coal, oil, and ash analysis to recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure your direct reports comply with all existing procedures and external government regulations, and perform risk assessments and mitigation.
