Certifying Scientist

Labcorp is seeking a Certifying Scientist to join our team in **Houston, TX** .

**Work Schedule:** Wednesday - Sunday, 2:00pm – 10:30pm, some overtime required

**Shift:** 2nd, this position is eligible for a shift differential

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Perform GC/MS and LC/MS certification in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supervisor guidance.
+ Review and interpret all data from screening, SVTs and confirmatory GC/MS and LC/MS chromatographic data and all associated quality control, calibration and instrument data.
+ Understand and follow quality procedures and protocols for security and confidentiality.
+ Review and follow chain of custody procedures with accuracy and consistency. Verify accuracy of all chain of custody and specimen documentation and sign where necessary.
+ Release all results for:
+ Negative specimens
+ Negative and Dilute
+ Rejected Specimens
+ Positive Drugs
+ Invalid
