Job Title: Operating Room Technician Job Summary
Under general direction, the Operating Room Technician provides skilled support in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment. The technician anticipates the surgeon's needs, assists during procedures, and contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operating room team.
Key ResponsibilitiesFollow infection control policies and demonstrate expertise in surgical scrub and aseptic techniques.
Assist surgeons with gowning, gloving, draping, and passing instruments during procedures.
Maintain an organized operative field and ensure all instruments and supplies are clean, accounted for, and in proper place.
Accurately track and manage counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
Prepare surgical cases by assembling necessary supplies and equipment, identifying potential issues beforehand. <...
