Certified Special Education Middle Grades Resource Teacher

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Scholar Services, the Middle Grades Resource Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction, intervention, and support services to students with disabilities in grades 5-8. The Resource Teacher collaborates with general education teachers, related service providers, families and administrators to ensure students receive the accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

The Resource Teacher serves as the case manager for assigned students and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local special education requirements while supporting student achievement in the least restrictive environment.
Qualifications Required Education and Certification
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Special Education or a related field.
+ Valid Georgia Professional Teaching Certificate.
