Certified Medication Aide - Part Time Days

Performs duties as delegated by a licensed nurse. Administers medications to patients as directed and documents the administration to the patient's medical record. May assist with general clerical duties.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Administers and accurately records the administration of medications for patients as prescribed by the physician.This includes liquid medications, eye drops and ointments, ear drops, and topical medications
+ Obtains, records and reports patient vital signs as indicate during the administration of medications
+ Observes records and reports any symptoms and conditions of the patients' that could be related to medication reactions, adverse drug reactions or medication side effects
+ Seeks clarification on any medication orders that are unclear, unusual or incomplete
+ Stores medications in a safe and accurate manner in accordance with the policies and procedures of the facility/client
