Position: Centre Lathe Turner
Location: Sheffield
Rate: £16.93 (£34,334 per annum)

Job Overview

• Set and operate Manual Lathes
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometres, verniers, calipers, etc.
• Monitor feed and speed of manufacturing machinery
• Measure and record build tolerances and determine parts that require repair
• Self‑inspect work with hand tools

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in setting and operating Manual Lathes
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Time-served or City and Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Familiarity with health and safety standards (H&S qualifications are a bonus)
• Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
• Full UK driving licence

Salary & Benefits

£16.93 per hour
Monday – Thursday 8:00–16:30; Friday 8:00–15:30 (39 hour week)
