Cemetery Grounds Keeper - Canada Jobs Program

Job Description

Position Purpose summary: The groundskeeper maintains the cemetery grounds for four Salvation Army cemeteries in the Town of Hare Bay and the Salvation Army Cemetery in the Town of Dover.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the general upkeep of external property such as mowing lawns, picking up litter, sweeping sidewalks, gardening/watering and planting shrubs, pruning and weeding and raking
• Services external amenities
• Picks up equipment and supplies
• Ensure proper storage and basic maintenance of equipment
• Be responsible for managing your own time
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Use personal prescribed safety equipment and clothing as directed by the employer.
• Report any workplace hazards, dangers, safety issues, injuries, or illness immediately and ensure care is taken with all equipment and property.
