R CDL Route Driver (Open)

Location: Portsmouth, VA – Filling industrial

Monday – Friday, start time 6 a.m.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases and liquids between Airgas branches and plant locations.
• Maintain accurate load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents.
• Record all deliveries and pickups, and return empty cylinders for refilling.
• Professionally interact with associates and customers to resolve service inquiries and issues.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, as well as cylinder inspections per operating procedures.
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed and promptly report any accidents or injuries to management.
