Overview

The Cashier is responsible for processing customer purchases, handling cash, credit, or debit card transactions, and providing a positive shopping experience. Cashiers must accurately handle money, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and resolve any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with their inquiries.
• Operate the cash register to process transactions accurately.
• Scan items and ensure proper pricing.
• Accept various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, gift cards, etc.).
• Provide receipts and process returns or exchanges.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
• Keep track of cash drawer and perform cash reconciliation at the end of shifts.
• Promote store products, services, and loyalty programs to customers.
