Summary The Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center is recruiting for a Carpentry Worker, at the Engineering Service of Facility Operations Section, Long Beach, CA. The work involves constructing, altering, maintaining, and repairing buildings, structures, partitions, panels, tool cabinets, bookcases, work benches, and other items using wood, wood substitutes, and composite building materials. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: Construct, alter, repair, and/or modifies items and structures, such as frameworks, doors, windows, screens, desks, chairs, panic hardware, work benches, cabinets, display racks, counter tops and shelves. Install various forms of drywall i.e., type x or lead-lined drywall. Fit and hang doors. Drill metal and wood doors for hardware. Install ceiling tile and T bars.
