Carpenter (Residential & Light Commercial) Location: Newport, South Wales Contract: Sub Contract Pay rate:£43k Circa Working Hours: 8am-4pm Working Days: Monday to Friday About the role We are looking for a skilled carpenter to deliver high-quality work across residential projects and light commercial fit-outs. You will handle a mix of first-fix, second-fix, and bespoke joinery installs, with occasional shopfitting and exterior works. The ideal candidate is precise, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently or as part of a small team. Key responsibilities Structural and framing (first fix): Stud walls, joists, floors, door/window openings, and basic roof structures. Roofing elements: Trussed and cut roofs, dormers, fascias and soffits. Second fix and finishing: Hanging doors, skirting/architraves, window boards, stair balustrades, ironmongery.
