Carpenter Foreman

**Summary:**

Seasonal Contract position supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). Carpenter Foremen will supervise and perform maintenance or construction work, or any combination thereof. Tasking is based on employee’s prior work experience and ASC schedule requirements.

**Position Responsibilities (not all inclusive):**

+ Supervise the activities of Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices

+ Supervise and perform hands-on carpentry tasks on construction and maintenance projects

+ Supervise and perform hands-on diagnosis, repair, and scheduled Preventative Maintenance on existing buildings and infrastructure

+ May coordinate, supervise, and perform all aspects of field camp construction, maintenance and upgrades, working closely with all trades involved in field camp construction, maintenance and winterization (McMurdo only)
