Career Development Specialist - Miami, FL.

MAJOR FUNCTION

: The Career Development Specialist is a grant funded position housed within Department of Corrections.  The Career Development Specialist is primarily responsible for the facilitation of employability and life skills, administration and interpretation of assessments, and training to include the Compass 100 hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.  Specifically, the position will provide services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator; services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and Thinking for a Change through a small group setting to eligible participants who are not in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator and reports of monthly attendance, program enrollments and completions on the Department of Corrections approved format.
