Care Assistant

Job Summary

Part Time Care Assistant at Thorn Springs – 3 on, 3 off shift pattern, 7:00 am–2:30 pm.

You will support residents’ physical, emotional and social wellbeing through personal care activities (washing, dressing, hygiene, meals) and general support within the home. You will provide compassionate, dignity‑respecting care, including end‑of‑life support.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care activities: washing, dressing, toiletries and feeding.
• Provide support with mobility, use of aids and daily living activities.
• Offer comfort and emotional support to distressed residents.
• Safeguard residents by recognising signs of abuse, harm or neglect and reporting concerns appropriately.
• Follow safeguarding training and procedures and seek advice when necessary.
• Support digital care planning and familiarise yourself with technology used in the service.
