Cardiovascular Operating Room Tech - CVOR Tech

The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the cardiac surgeon in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) environment; as well as preparing and providing sterile instruments and maintaining the sterilization of surgical equipment, arranging surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Assists cardiac surgeon before, during, or after any cardiology related procedure or surgery
+ Prepares the cardiovascular operating room according to case type, places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions
+ Provides sterile instruments under sterile technique to the cardiac surgeon
+ Understands cardiovascular anatomy and physiology and surgical techniques
+ Assists team members to place and position patient on table
+ Aids team to don gowns and gloves
