**Job Summary:**

Established cardiothoracic surgery program at LewisGale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic surgeon.

**Qualified Candidates:**

+ Board certified or board eligible
+ 5+ year of experience preferred
+ Superb communication skills and a passion for program development and collaboration
+ Experience and comfort level with heart bypass surgery, valve repair and replacement (including open and endovascular aortic procedures)
+ Structural Heart Experience (TAVR, LAAC) preferred
+ Minimally invasive lung surgery experience preferred
+ Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures preferred
+ Capable of doing complex cases in independent setting
+ Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in the state of Virginia
