CAM Programmer

JOB SCOPE

- Create CNC programs using CAM software (such as Mastercam, NX CAM, SolidCAM, PowerMill, etc.)

- Convert CAD drawings/models into machining toolpaths

- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies

- Optimize programs to reduce cycle time, improve surface finish, and minimize tool wear

- Generate G-code for CNC machines (milling, turning, multi-axis)

- Support CNC operators during setup and production

- Troubleshoot machining issues and modify programs as needed

- Ensure parts meet engineering drawings and tolerance requirements

- Follow quality, safety, and manufacturing standards

- Maintain proper documentation of programs and revisions



SKILLS REQUIRED

- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Knowledge of cutting tools and materials

- Experience with 2-axis to 5-axis...
