Calibration/Metrology Technician

• Responsible for the application of safety standards and for adhering to V5000, IATF16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology (All functions), On the Job Training (OJT) of peers and Stop Scrap procedures (Related to all manufacturing) where applicable.
• Develop and maintain plant wide calibration systems according to QS 9000 and American Association of Laboratory Accreditation standards.
• Calibrate gages designated for internal calibration.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other small quality hand tools. Operate Coordinate Measuring Machine for dimensional verification of products.
• Maintain proficiency in the operation of all Dimensional Lab equipment. Assist in dimension related problem solving as necessary, utilizing the proper methods and equipment.
• Monitor functional lab test equipment for proper operation during off-shift hours.
