CAE Engineer

Akkodis is looking for a Senior CAE Engineer with strong hands-on experience in finite element analysis of locomotive and rail structures. The role involves performing detailed FEA for strength, stiffness, fatigue, and dynamic load cases, as well as bolt force extraction at critical interfaces to support safe and compliant product designs.

• 6–10 years of hands-on CAE experience in locomotive.
• Strong expertise in:
• Altair HyperMesh, ANSA (meshing, connections, model quality)
• ANSYS, ABAQUS for structural and modal analysis
• Proven experience in bolt force extraction and joint load assessment
• Strong understanding of:
• FEM theory
• Structural mechanics and vibration
• Fatigue concepts and material behavior (steel, cast/welded structures)

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with railway standards – EN1...
