Buyer Planner Iii

PURPOSE OF POSITION
To schedule and buy materials and production components to meet our customer's requirements while maximizing value and minimizing total cost through utilization of JIT/Kanban among other lean manufacturing/RBS tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned:
- Implement, sustain and improve Kanban system for specific areas in the Business unit and contribute on the inventory accuracy.
- Contrubute to achieve >95% OTD per Fortive metrics
- Buy MRO and production supplies as needed
- Place purchase orders for materials and confirm delivery with suppliers, expedite material as needed
- Lead Lean Materials process improvement initiatives
- Drive inventory reduction and cost savings through RBS tools and supplier negotiations
- Coordinate schedules with outside suppliers and internal operations
- Work closely with Internal Customers to prioritize production schedule and backlog
