2 years’ experience in aerospace or medical industry, 4+ years of experience as a buyer/planner in a high technology manufacturing environment with a high mix low volume model
Education in planning and purchasing is a definite advantage
APICS (CPIM) certification is desirable

Must be proficient in using ERP systems with the ability to effectively learn and adapt to new processes
Direct experience as a buyer interacting with vendors, negotiating price, terms and managing relationships
Hands-on experience in performing detailed planning of manufacturing in a small business environment
Experience in lean manufacturing and/or six sigma is a definite plus
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment with high level of work orders
Excellent time management skills and ability to make decision
Experience in defining or review planning processes is a definite plus
