Business Development Officer (Stratton)

Position

Business Development Officer (BDO) – Clean Energy Innovation Research Centres, Advanced Clean Energy.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic market guidance, sales & marketing, intellectual property management, complex agreement negotiation, licensing, stakeholder engagement expertise and new business approaches to influence business objectives and NRC’s strategic plans.
• Support the business and partnership objectives of the NRC by developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with NRC program outcomes.
• Engage with targeted clients through direct meetings, workshops and industry conferences.
• Analyze client requirements and align client needs with NRC capabilities and NRC program objectives.
• Lead due diligence efforts and structure/negotiated strategic research agreements, intellectual property licenses and technical service agreements that maximize impact to the Canadian economy.
