Bus Driver

A bus driver is a licensed professional responsible for safely transporting passengers via buses, following designated routes and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate buses on assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections (brakes, lights, fuel, etc.) and report maintenance issues.
• Assist passengers with boarding, fares, and special needs (e.g., elderly, disabled).
• Manage emergency situations (accidents, breakdowns) calmly and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, incidents, and passenger counts.

Qualifications

• Valid Professional Driver’s License (PDL) with restriction code appropriate for buses.
• 2+ years of experience as a bus/heavy vehicle driver but not required.
