Bus Driver (1.0 FTE - 4hrs/day)

Open position at Chinook School Division, a public school division serving approximately 6,000 students across 62 schools in Saskatchewan.

Contract

Start Date: Beginning of the School Year.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school on all attendance days.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bus.
• Adhere to safe bus driving procedures and comply with all personal protective equipment procedures.
• Advise parents of route changes.
• Communicate regularly with school administration and transportation department personnel regarding student conduct.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections as required by The Traffic Safety Act.
• Report any mechanical deficiencies to the bus garage promptly.
• Provide orientation to casual employees on bus, route, and specific route rules.
