Job Overview

Viking Cruises is seeking a Junior Logistics Manager to join our Logistics team in Basel, Switzerland, supporting our Ocean and Expedition fleet.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal procurement department and external parties such as freight forwarders, suppliers, and port agents to ensure planning and deliveries are made in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with shipboard team and suppliers to ensure that all required products are on board at all times.
• Follow up on service level issues with vendors; register and approve invoices and credit notes in cooperation with the accounting team.
• Support ships in case of deviations, delayed deliveries, or emergency orders, coordinating with freight forwarder for redirection of cargo.
• Identify local regulations and restrictions and ensure documentation compliance.
