Building Inspector - Midwest

+ Inspects buildings for fire and life safety and fire protection systems to determine their compliance with local or international building codes.

+ Buildings include Commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Hospitality sectors.

+ Fire protection systems include fire suppression and fire detection and alarm systems.

+ Reads and interprets building codes, technical manuals, drawings, instructions, and specifications.

+ Identifies records and reports all deviations using tools provided.

+ Involves travel and meeting and communicating with building owners and managers regarding codes, inspection procedures, and other issues pertaining to code compliance programs and services; responds to questions, complaints and/or requests for information; and explains and interprets policies and procedures, ordinances and codes.
