Budget Officer

Summary About the Position: Serves as the Budget Officer responsible for formulating, budgeting, executing, and justifying the use of appropriated funds, to include authorizing the use of such funds by the program directors and subordinate units for the accomplishment of approved mission areas. Develops fiscal strategies and champions innovation and automation of budgetary tools. Serves as the principal advisor to the J-8 director on all budgetary matters. Responsibilities Presents, justifies, and defends budget before groups, committees, councils and panels. Provides budgetary and technical leadership for the development of cost estimates associated with long-range multi-year studies.
