Boiler Plant Operator

Summary The position is located within Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL. This facility is a highly active, modern medical center currently controlled by USRO's/USO's trained and skilled in the use of the building automation system (BAS) Metasys (HVAC) and Scada and ADAC systems (Boilers). Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Operates 24 hour a day, 7 day a week energy control center with continuous monitoring and operation of complex utilities and systems. The incumbents primary role is operating the Boiler and Chiller Plants. All other items are secondary. Starts, stops, and regulates the utilities and their system components for optimum efficiency and to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair them.
