**Job Description**

The Operating Engineer Class 2 plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the facility's mechanical systems. This position involves monitoring and troubleshooting equipment, following preventive maintenance schedules, and operating high-capacity boilers. The role requires the ability to install and maintain a variety of mechanical equipment and systems, as well as apply water treatment processes.

**Responsibilities**

+ Monitor and troubleshoot assigned equipment.
+ Follow preventive maintenance schedules for testing, cleaning, planned repairs, equipment lubrication, and operation.
+ Install and maintain mechanical equipment within the plant operations area.
+ Operate and maintain boilers with a capacity up to and exceeding 12,500,000 BTU/hr.
