Job Description

The BCBA engages children and adolescents admitted to in-patient care at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children with complex medical conditions and comorbid intellectual disability ranging from mild to profound and/or mild or major neurocognitive disorders. Responsible for developing behavioral interventions to support children’s developmental skill acquisition, motivation, participation, and toleration of medical care and rehabilitation, as well as to reduce problem behaviors or other psychological factors interfering with their treatment plan and/or adjustment to the hospital.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts and supervises Functional Behavioral Assessments and develops Behavioral Intervention Plans.
Conducts skills assessments (e.g., ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, etc.) and develops skill acquisition treatment plans.
