Job Description

BugSeq Bioinformatics is empowering clinical and public health microbiology laboratories to adopt DNA/RNA sequencing and transform diagnostic microbiology. We build BugSeq, an automated analysis platform that takes raw data and produces actionable reports, elucidating microbes and their complexities. BugSeq services many of the biggest hospital networks and public health labs globally.

We are looking for a talented bioinformatician to design and evaluate novel tools, algorithms and pipelines for our platform, with a focus on antimicrobial resistance. We are looking for developers who are excited about launching new products and features into production, can work autonomously, leverage data to inform decisions, and don't back down from the challenges of scale. Our ideal candidate has experience building bioinformatic tools from the ground up, analysing big data and publishing results in the peer‑reviewed literature.
