Job Description
Medical Assistants perform administrative and clerical duties while working with providers to help provide the optimum level of care for our patients. They are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the office and often explain the providers’ instructions.
Responsibilities

+ Escort patients to exam rooms and notify the provider when the patient is ready.

+ Ensure all lab and diagnostic test results are in the chart prior to the appointment by participating in morning huddles.

+ Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in all exam rooms.

+ Conduct initial patient assessments, including reason for visit/symptoms, vital signs, weight, height, blood pressure, and temperature.

+ Verify all current medications, contact information, and medical allergies.

+ Prepare patients for examinations.

+ Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
